Thinking of something to prepare for snack time? Well, here is a delicious and quick recipe. This is one hit snack during the rains and is enjoyed even more with a steaming hot cup of tea. The pakora is made from chickpea flour with a variety of vegetables such as onions, potatoes, brinjal, large green chillies, as well as with bread. Given here is a basic pakora recipe:
The ingredients:
1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
Oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
Salt to taste
2 finely chopped green chillies
½ cup Water
1 finely sliced potato
1 onion chopped length-wise
Mix the chickpea flower into the water and add the salt, chillies and cumin. Dip the slices of potato one by one into this semi-liquid batter and then deep fry them. Similarly dip the sliced onions in the batter and deep fry them. These can be served with ketchup or chutney.
